So I can cast out

My counsellor tells me

I should remember

Good times

From before,

Reminders that life

Can be good.

It’s hard to focus.

Anger and sadness

War inside me.

Dear Diary …

I don’t know

Who I am

Any more.

I’m not strong enough

To return to Onyx,

But I need answers.

I need to know

Who did this to me.

How do I move on

If I never find them?

The pen rests on the page,

Ink bleeding my words

Into obscurity.
